College GameDay was in Austin on Saturday ahead of No. 4 TCU at No. 18 Texas. The Lone Star State showdown is important for the Big 12 race and College Football Playoff standings. The GameDay crew also highlighted some SEC games during the picks segment.
Lee Corso was once again absent from the GameDay set. It’s the third-straight Saturday show without Corso in attendance due to health reasons.
“Lee Corso still recuperating. We hope that he’s continuing to recover and hope that he’ll be back with us really soon,” host Rece Davis said at the show’s opening.
Texas alum Jordan Spieth was on hand as Saturday’s celebrity guest picker. He joined Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit at the desk.
Here’s how they picked the SEC games:
No. 9 Alabama at No. 11 Ole Miss
- Howard: Alabama
- McAfee: Alabama
- Spieth: Alabama
- Herbstreit: Alabama
No. 7 LSU at Arkansas
- Howard: LSU
- McAfee: LSU
- Spieth: Arkansas
- Herbstreit: LSU
We’ll see how those picks turn out!
