Collin Sexton reflects on his one spectacular year at Alabama ahead of 2018 NBA Draft

Collin Sexton came to Alabama and took over the SEC, becoming the fiercest point guard in the league and putting up some huge numbers.
Now, he’s off to the NBA, and he’s likely to be a lottery pick when the draft takes place in June.
At Alabama’s basketball banquet on Tuesday night, Sexton discussed his year with the Crimson Tide, saying he grew a lot as a player and a person during the 2017-18 season (via 247Sports):
“I would say it’s a learning experience,” Sexton said. “It was amazing. It was good times. It was also bad times. But I feel like the ups and downs help you become a better person.”
Sexton also discussed preparing for the NBA Combine. He hasn’t decided if he’ll participate, but he is staying in shape just in case:
“Just been getting stronger, faster,” Sexton said. “Working on the things teams told me to work on, like jump shot, making sure the three-ball is consistent. That’s about it.”
Sexton averaged 19.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this year for the Crimson Tide, leading them to the NCAA Tournament and a first-round victory over Virginia Tech before losing to eventual champion Villanova.
