Vanderbilt announces three-game series with SMU

Vanderbilt is the latest Southeastern Conference to schedule a three-game series against a Group of 5 program as the Commodores announced a new future football series on Thursday.

The Commodores are now set to host SMU twice in the coming years before making the return trip to Dallas in 2029. The all-time series between the programs is tied at 2-2.

Here are the full details of the upcoming three-game series:

  • Sept. 14, 2024, at Vanderbilt
  • Sept. 9, 2028, at Vanderbilt
  • Sept. 15, 2029, at SMU

Vanderbilt now has future non-conference games lined up against Boston College, Colorado State, Georgia State, Hawaii, North Carolina State, Stanford and Wake Forest, in addition to this SMU series.
