Gator great Al Horford commits major donations to help every stop along his basketball career following coronavirus pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has turned into a nightmare for many around the globe but the worldwide epidemic has also proven to shine a light on all the generous people we have in this country.
The latest name to add to that outstanding list if former Gator great Al Horford.
It’s been over a decade since Horford played in Gainesville but the former Florida hoopster hasn’t forgotten his days as a Gator as the standout NBA player has committed to donating $500,000 to his native Dominican Republic, in addition to the place he’s been during his college and NBA career, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
“76ers’ Al Horford has donated $500,000 to aid coronavirus pandemic in his home country of the Dominican Republic, as well as each U.S. region in which he has played basketball (Michigan/Gainesville, FL./Atlanta/Boston/Philadelphia).”
That’s a tremendous donation that’s going to exceed several million dollars to help those communities deal with and hopefully recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
