What could have been: Design for Final Four court in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium released

The 2020 NCAA Tournament and the Final Four that would have resulted from the event will forever remain a mystery as one of the greatest “what-ifs” in sports history after the NCAA decided to cancel the tournament following the outbreak of the coronavirus in America.

While we may never know who would have played in the Final Four, which was set to be played in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, we at least know what the court would have looked like from inside the home of the Falcons.

Matt Norlander of CBS Sports has shared the image below of what the design for the Final Four in Atlanta would have looked like had the court been assembled inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium as scheduled on April 4-April 6.

Given the fact we have no sports to entertain us at the moment, this is tough to see:
