NFL announces plans for 2020 NFL Draft in Las Vegas following coronavirus outbreak
The show must go on.
That’s the message issued by the NFL on Monday as the league plans to hold the 2020 NFL Draft from Las Vegas as scheduled on April 23-25 following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
While the 2020 NFL Draft will continue as scheduled, the event has been significantly changed as fans will not be allowed to attend the event. That’s unfortunate on many levels, especially considering the destination event the league’s annual selection process has become and the fact it’s in perhaps the best tourist destination city in the country.
It’s unclear if any players will attend the event but it’s a safe bet that they will not at this point in time.
The good news is the NFL still plans on televising the event, so we can all watch it from the comfort of our homes — even if we are under quarantine at that point.
