It isn’t just the games that have been disturbed, the recruiting world has been turned upside down this week thanks to the coronavirus outbreak.

Official and unofficial visits were set to take place all across the nation this weekend but those visits appear to have been halted as the NCAA will reportedly suspend all recruiting, across all college sports, through April 15 according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium.

The NCAA has yet to officially announced this news.

These recruiting restrictions come after the SEC decided to halt all recruiting operations on Thursday.

“We’re learning we’re making the best decisions on the best available information,” Greg Sankey said during his press conference from Nashville. “We did have conversations about recruiting I referenced, and have stopped off-campus and on-campus recruiting for a period of time that could be extended. I’ve identified I think the NCAA needs to fully engage on that, that issue as well. The practice issue may be for them nationally, I think we had some conversations I don’t know that we came to a destination. And so that means it’s still on that.”

Sankey noted his belief that the NCAA needed to take this action and it appears the organization stepped up and has delivered a decision on the matter.
