LSU practice video released featuring limited number of offensive linemen
If you missed the big news out of Baton Rouge on Wednesday, the Tigers offensive line has reportedly been hit hard by COVID exposure.
According to a report by The Advocate, several members of LSU’s offensive line will be quarantined in the days to come due to exposure to the virus.
Now, it’s important to note that being exposed and testing positive for the virus are two different things. However, per NCAA and SEC guidelines, anyone associated with any team that has experienced “high-risk” exposure to COVID — which is defined by 15 minutes or more of exposure in close proximity without social distancing and without a mask on during that time — must sit out for 14 days.
Players that test positive must sit out for 10 days and show no symptoms before returning to action.
The good news is LSU is still able to practice despite these reported exposures.
Following The Advocate’s report, LSU released a practice video from Wednesday that began with the offensive line getting in work.
Here are the five offensive linemen seen in the video, which was released and edited by LSU: (The video can be viewed below)
- #51 Dare Rosenthal
- #68 Jace Benoit
- #73 Joseph Evans
- #74 Marcus Dumervil
- #78 Thomas Perry
Below is a list of offensive linemen not seen in the video.
It’s important to note that any of these players could have been at practice — just not shown by LSU — and there’s been no information provided by the school to suggest any of these players missed practice due to testing positive for COVID or having COVID exposure.
- #56 Liam Shanahan
- #57 Chasen Hines
- #58 Kardell Thomas
- #64 Austin Harden
- #66 Riley Lawrence
- #67 Spencer Payne
- #69 Charles Turner
- #70 Ed Ingram
- #71 Xavier Hill
- #75 Anthony Bradford
- #76 Austin Deculus
- #77 Marlon Martinez
