The Crimson Tide Sports Network has asked followers to pray for sportscaster Chris Stewart.

Stewart underwent heart bypass surgery last month, and it went well. His recovery was on the right track too, but more recently, he’s suffered some setbacks. The Crimson Tide Sports Network released an official update on Stewart’s condition via Twitter on Wednesday morning.

Stewart’s health issues began in April 2018 when he suffered a stroke. He also had a “serious medical procedure” in March.

Stewart works with the broadcast teams for Alabama football, basketball and baseball. He’s called radio play-by-play for Alabama basketball for the last 16 seasons. Stewart is married to Christy Stewart and has three children.
