Dabo Swinney has been the head coach of the Clemson Tigers since 2009. In that time, the coach has won 2 National Championships with the Tigers and has never missed a bowl game.

Still, Swinney feels like his team and the ACC conference as a whole don’t get the respect they deserve. The coach joined CBS Sports’ College Football Pregame on Saturday to discuss his team and the College Football Playoff. Clemson came in at No. 17 in the latest rankings despite sporting an 8-2 record.

“We’ve got a chance to get our 9th win today, for the 14th year in a row,” explained Swinney. “We would become the 4th team in the history of football ever to do that.”

The Tigers are taking on The Citadel in Week 13 and will end the season with a game against in-state rival South Carolina.

“We’ve scheduled tough. All you can do is play the schedule that you have,” said Swinney. “It is what it is, but you know, we basically have a SEC-Big Ten invitational, that’s really what we got in college football right now.”

In the latest CFP rankings, 9 of the top 12 teams are in either the SEC or B1G. Notre Dame, Miami, and Boise State are the non-SEC or B1G teams that are in the top-12.

The Tigers will need a tremendous amount of help to move into the top-12. SMU and Miami both need to lose again in the regular season for the Tigers to get into the ACC Championship Game.
