Swinney took Clemson to the top of the college football landscape in 2016 and 2018. The Tigers haven’t lived up to expectations since, but look primed to make another run this season as a top 5 team in the country. Swinney is 151-36 since taking over for Clemson in 2008.
Swinney’s new deal includes $50,000 more in bonuses for winning the ACC, reaching the CFP semifinal and the CFP title game. He will receive a $150,000 bonuses for every CFP appearance post-expansion.
