Alabama coach Nick Saban and Clemson coach Dabo Swinney have had some intense battles on the football field the past several years, but there’s a lot of respect between the two elite coaches.
So, when Swinney heard that Saban had tested positive for COVID-19, he spent part of his media availability weighing in.
Swinney sent his best wishes to Saban and said he’ll probably give Saban a call later to check in on him:
Dabo Swinney on the Nick Saban news: "Best wishes and thoughts for coach Saban. Hopefully he's going to do well. I'll probably call him later to make sure he's doing good. Certainly hate to hear that."

That’s a classy move from Swinney, who clearly has a lot of respect for Saban. Hopefully Saban fully recovers quickly, as Alabama and Clemson could be on a collision course in the College Football Playoff.
