Dabo Swinney spoke with reporters on Wednesday night to preview Clemson’s Week 2 matchup against App State.

While talking with the media, Swinney acknowledged a lowlight from Clemson offensive lineman Collin Sadler that went viral this week. A clip of 2 Clemson offensive linemen running into each other during a play circulated on social media in the aftermath of Clemson’s loss to Georgia.

For context, here’s the play — which shows Salder (#50) run directly into Clemson’s pulling left guard after the snap:

Swinney said Sadler “got the call wrong” but was overall complimentary of what the sophomore offensive lineman brings to the table for the Tigers.

“He had one bad play where he just got the call wrong,” Swinney said while fighting off a chuckle. “But Sadler’s a dude. I mean, he’s a really, really good player. He can play 4 positions for us. He’s tough, he’s physical. I mean, he’s a redshirt sophomore now. He’s really coming into his own.

“We feel really good about how the offensive line played and how they matched up. We feel really good about that.”

Clemson will be looking to get in the win column on Saturday against App State.
