Dabo Swinney spent much of the week talking to the reporters about how Clemson was going to be fine and how successful he has been during his time as the Tigers coach. He was confident the team was going to respond, and come out and play very well on Saturday.

However, that wasn’t the case, as Syracuse came in to the Tigers’ home stadium and took control early en route to the 34-21 victory. After the game, Swinney was seen visibly emotional, as he was standing during the alma mater with star cornerback Avieon Terrell.

Things were bad entering the game for the Tigers, and they have gotten much worse after the loss. Clemson moved to 1-3 on the season, which is the first time that has happened since he became the coach.

The Tigers do not have a game next week, which could be either a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe getting away from things could help the team regroup and try and salvage the season.

However, that means there will be 2 weeks of fans and the media speculating about what the school should do. A season that started with so much promise is quickly going down the drain, and it could be spiraling to a long season for Swinney and the program.
