Dabo Swinney gives health update on DL Peter Woods before Florida State game
Dabo Swinney’s Clemson Tigers are gearing up for an ACC showdown with the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday.
The Tigers are coming off a big win over Stanford and are looking to add another conference win in Week 6. However, the team may have to do that without one of their most important performers.
Peter Woods hasn’t played since the Week 2 matchup against Appalachian State. Woods left with an injury in the 1st half of that game and has not played since.
Ahead of the Florida State game, Swinney provided an update on Woods.
“He’s practiced every day. He’s getting better every day,” said the coach.
Swinney mentioned that Woods will be day-to-day heading into the matchup.

Woods’ presence is sorely missed on the Clemson defensive line. The Tigers currently have the No. 101 total defense in the country.
In Woods’ only full game this season, against Georgia, the sophomore collected 6 tackles and 1 sack. As a freshman in 2023, Woods collected 26 tackles and a forced fumble.
Even without Woods, the Tiger defense should be able to have a big day against the Seminoles. The Noles are No. 103 in sacks allowed, having allowed 12 in just 5 games.
The Tigers and Seminoles will kick off from Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET.
