Dabo Swinney reportedly brings decorated former Clemson QB on staff

Tajh Boyd is trading in his real estate license for a chance to return to his college football program.
The former Clemson quarterback is joining Dabo Swinney’s staff on offense. Boyd, who has stayed in touch with Swinney since he last appeared in a game in 2013, reportedly declined a head high school football job in the Upstate, Mike Uva of WACH reported.
Boyd has been a real estate agent since 2017 after he retired from professional football with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football league.
“It’ll fit somewhere between (an) analyst (and a) player development role,” said Boyd, who explained Clemson is still working on what the specific name for his title will be. “I’ve been through so much with this game: loved it, hated it and everything else in-between. The fact that I get to give that back; help guys navigate through those experiences and get to relearn the game in a different light is really exciting for me going forward.”
During his Clemson career, Boyd completed 64.3 percent of his passes and had a 155.2 pass efficiency rating with 1,165 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns. He collected 13,069 total yards and was responsible for an ACC-record 133 touchdowns, and an ACC-record 107 passing touchdowns.
