Things aren’t going well for the Dallas Cowboys of late, and now their offensive leader is dealing with a pair of injuries.

Former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott suffered injuries to both hands during the Cowboys’ loss to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, according to Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Prescott injured the index finger on his right hand and suffered a left hand sprain.

However, according to Hill, Dallas head coach Jason Garrett told the media on Friday that Prescott will be ready to play for the Cowboys’ next game against the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 15.

Dallas lost for the seventh time in 10 games at Chicago, falling to 6-7. However, the Cowboys still have a half-game lead over the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.

Through 13 games, Prescott has passed for 4,122 yards, 24 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. It’s been a strong season for the former Bulldogs quarterback, but he and the Cowboys may need to finish the season on a roll to get into the playoffs.

Prescott will have plenty of time to prepare for the Rams — and heal both his hand injuries — as the Cowboys will go 10 days between games.
