Alabama RBs Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough are both dynamic players, but which one is a better NFL prospect?

Both backs were impressive in 2016 with over 1,800 yards and 13 rushing TDs between the duo last season. While Harris was the Alabama RB to finish the season with over 1,000 yards, the sort of strength and speed that Scarbrough displayed impressed many across the country. It was also the injury to Scarbrough in the national championship that seemed to shift the game in favor of Clemson.

With that being said, Harris put in a lot of work this offseason to lose weight and improve his speed. He leads Alabama with 906 rushing yards and an astounding 8.2 YPC in 2017. According to Lance Zierlein with NFL.com, Harris’ work has not gone unnoticed:

“He really committed himself to put in the work in the offseason and his effort has been inspired all year. Bo (Scarbrough) looked like the better pro option last year, but I can’t say that anymore.” — SEC area scout on Alabama RB Damien Harris

Zierlein went on to say that Harris’ improved burst and open-field speed has led him to agree that Harris looks to be a better NFL RB at this point than Scarbrough. Both are certainly impressive and have the opportunity to become something special, but Harris’ decision to ditch Honey Buns looks to be paying off.
