News broke Saturday that Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning would be taking over as Oregon’s new head coach.

Lanning will replace Mario Cristobal, who left the Ducks after 4 seasons to take over at Miami, his alma mater.

On Sunday, Bruce Feldman reported that Lanning is hoping to add current Florida State offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham to his staff at Oregon in the same role.

Lanning and Dillingham previously worked together at Memphis.

If the move happens, it could impact another SEC team, as Auburn was reportedly interested in Dillingham as well.

Tigers coach Bryan Harsin fired offensive coordinator Mike Bobo after Auburn finished 6-6 in their lone season together.

Dillingham had previously been on Gus Malzahn’s staff at Auburn in 2019.
