Two prominent figures in SEC football are celebrating their birthdays today.
Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen turns 44, and former Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel turns 64. Each school, including some current and former players, took the time to reach out to them via Twitter on Wednesday.
Mullen, who’s probably still recovering from the Boston Marathon that he ran nine days ago, got some love from the Bulldogs. However, sophomore RB Dontavian Lee had his own announcement to make.

Meanwhile, the long-time coach of the Tigers who announced on Nov. 16 that he’d be retiring after the 2015 season, was shown appreciation from the program he coached for 15 years.
Pinkel, who revealed that he was battling lymphoma and underwent surgeries in May and June of last year, also got a shoutout from former Mizzou receivers T.J. Moe and L’Damian Washington.
