SEC coaches aren’t in favor of satellite camps.
They haven’t particularly enjoyed the arrival of Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, either.
Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen became the latest to throw shade Harbaugh’s way on Monday during a radio appearance on SuperTalk Mississippi, saying satellite camps are exclusively used for recruiting purposes before taking a shot at the overall talent pool Harbaugh has to pull from in Michigan.
Mullen: if Jim Harbaugh’s going to have a camp, he’d probably want to teach young kids in Michigan how to be better football players.

Mullen continued his rant:
“The only purpose for satellite camps, obviously, is recruiting. I don’t think it’s the right purpose for camps. We’ve probably had 1,000 kids on campus in camps. There are probably a couple of guys who will be SEC players out of that group, but there’s a lot of guys learning a lot of football. But that’s our job as coaches: to promote the game and help young people learn how to be better football players, not just to go out and recruit.” “I’m not into it. I like kids coming to our campus for camps. I’d rather them come here and see us. Because they get to see campus, they get to see our facilities, they get to see all of this stuff. And our players are working sometimes out while they’re here. They see our guys in the weight room and just see everything. I’m a bigger fan of that.”
The social media reaction was priceless.
First Nick Satan now Dan Mullen, I love how the SEC is bitching about our coach. Bc of your comments Harbaugh will camp in Mississippi 2016

Harbaugh most likely hasn’t heard Mullen’s comments. After all, last week he politely asked, ‘Who is Paul Finebaum?’
