Dan Mullen left Mississippi State for Florida this offseason, and as fate would have it, the Gators travel to Starkville this fall.

That means Mullen will likely be in for a rude welcome, as many Bulldog fans are still bitter that he left the team to head to Gainesville.

During an event on Tuesday night, Mullen said he expects Mississippi State has already raised the money to pay a fine for having cowbells during the Gators’ visit to Starkville:

The game should be tense between the Bulldogs and Gators, especially since the Bulldogs have their eyes on a great season under first-year coach Joe Moorhead.

The Gators will be hungry for a win too, though, and Mullen will have his team more competitive than last year’s Florida squad.
