Dan Mullen released his picks for some of the marquee action that will be taking place in Week 1. Mullen’s picks were put on social media.
The games that Mullen picked for included Florida-Utah, Louisville-Georgia Tech, Virginia-Tennessee, Colorado-TCU, Boise State-Washington, North Carolina-South Carolina, West Virginia-Penn State, and Florida State-LSU.
The Week 1 slate has some great matchups for college football fans to enjoy.
Utah will be welcoming Florida into Salt Lake City with last season’s game on its mind. The Volunteers will see how the offense looks with Joe Milton under center.
If South Carolina can stay as hot as it was towards the end of the regular season in 2022, the Gamecocks could give North Carolina a run for its money.
Another great matchup will be Florida State-LSU. The game was decided by a blocked extra point with no time left on the clock last year.

- No. 14 Utah over Florida
- Louisville over Georgia Tech
- No. 12 Tennessee over Virginia
- No. 17 TCU over Colorado
- No. 10 Washington over Boise State
- No. 21 North Carolina over South Carolina
- No. 7 Penn State over West Virginia
- No. 8 Florida State over No. 5 LSU
