Sophomore CB CJ Henderson is Florida’s best cover corner with fellow sophomore CB Marco Wilson out for the season with a torn ACL. When Henderson was injured against Georgia, the game changed significantly.

UGA was able to target and exploit CB CJ McWilliams, who was playing in Henderson. Bulldogs QB Jake Fromm went 17-of-24 passing for 240 yards and three touchdowns, many of those completions coming with Henderson out.

Mullen had good news on Monday. He reiterated that Henderson’s injury was “not structural.”

“Just a bruise, so we’re expecting him to go on Saturday,” Mullen told reporters.

Next up on Florida’s schedule is Missouri, set for 4 p.m. on Saturday. Tigers QB Drew Lock is one of the SEC’s more experienced and capable passers. Having Henderson back would be a big boost for the UF defense.
