In the first quarter of Florida’s rivalry game against Florida State, Gators receiver Tyrie Cleveland left the game after landing hard on his shoulder while trying to catch a deep pass.

He was later spotted wearing a sling on the sidelines, and Florida coach Dan Mullen said after the game that Cleveland broke his collarbone.

The No. 11 Gators cruised to a 41-14 win despite losing Cleveland early in the game. Entering Saturday’s game, the junior was fifth on the team with 18 receptions and sixth with 212 yards. He also had three touchdowns to his credit this season.

Mullen did not say whether Cleveland will be available for the bowl game. Florida will likely earn a bid to a New Year’s Day bowl thanks to its 9-3 record, so Cleveland would have about five weeks to get healthy.
