Dan Orlovsky has seen how college football fans across the country have made Ole Miss the darling of the College Football Playoff as they have made it to the Final Four. Much of the reason has been because of how Lane Kiffin left the program to become the head coach at LSU.

During an appearance on Get Up on Thursday morning, Orlovsky dubbed Ole Miss “America’s Team” a label made famous by the Jerry Jones-owned Dallas Cowboys.

“Lane Kiffin has become a little bit like Jerry Jones,” Orlovsky said. “He’s made Ole Miss America’s team. Everybody wants to see Ole Miss win.”

While the Cowboys don’t have everybody cheering for them to win games, fans do tune in at historic numbers when the Cowboys are on.

For the Rebels, much of the hype has been how would the players handle the situation. There are former assistants who joined Kiffin at LSU still on the staff, trying to get many current Ole Miss players to join them in Baton Rouge.

With Trinidad Chambliss putting on a performance for the ages in the win against Georgia, the Rebels are without a doubt the team that the rest of the country is cheering for.
