Dan + Shay performance on College GameDay draws social media criticism

Dan + Shay are a pop-country duo from Nashville, and it seems fans at the Alabama-Texas game in Tuscaloosa on Saturday wish the duo would have stayed in Nashville.
The performers played a song during ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday morning, and fans on social media weren’t huge fans of it.
It seems most football fans wanted to watch football content on Saturday morning instead of a pop-country concert. Here was some of the reaction on social media to Dan + Shay’s brief performance:
Hell yeah because no one gets the gameday juices flowing like Dan + Shay!!! #CollegeGameday

Dan + Shay lip synching for 30 seconds on Game Day is my least favorite part of any ESPN programming.

College GameDay is in Tuscaloosa to preview the major showdown between Alabama and Texas on Saturday night. Both teams have legitimate College Football Playoff aspirations, so this should be an intense matchup. Jalen Milroe vs. Quinn Ewers promises to be an interesting quarterback battle, as they have very different playing styles.
Who will win at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night? Tune in to ESPN at 7 p.m. ET to find out!
