Dancin’ Cam: New QB in New England brings a relaxed vibe to Bill Belichick’s team

If there are two personalities more opposite in the NFL than Cam Newton and Bill Belichick, well, they are tough to find. But now that the former Auburn quarterback and New England Patriots head coach are on the same team, let’s see how they interact.
So far, Newton is as loose as possible as he’s showing off multiple dancing moves in practice. Newton has even done it during the rain.
In June, the Patriots raised eyebrows around the NFL when they decided to sign the 2015 NFL Most Valuable Player to replace three-time MVP Tom Brady. But Newton is not the only former Auburn QB on the roster.
The Patriots also have 2019 fourth-round draft choice Jarrett Stidham. Stidham appeared in 3 games last season, completed two passes for 14 yards with one interception.
Newton, 31, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 draft after he led Auburn to a national championship and winning the Heisman Trophy. He helped the Panthers reach the playoffs four times, including the Super Bowl in 2015.
Newton had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff before the 2019 season. But he injured his foot in the preseason and only played 2 games last season before he was placed on injured reserve with a broken bone in his foot.
