Daniel Hill is almost ready to make his college commitment.
The 4-star running back shared Friday that he intends to announce his final decision on Aug. 23. He made that declaration in an Instagram story on Friday.
Hill has 5 finalists: Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Southern Cal.
Hill has become a major target for the Crimson Tide in the class of 2024. He took an official visit to Tuscaloosa back in June. He also made trips to Auburn and South Carolina last month.
He’s the No. 193 overall player and the No. 14 athlete in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 6 player from the state of Mississippi.
Hill attends Meridian High School in Meridian, Mississippi. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 220 pounds. Hill’s primary recruiter with the Tide is running backs coach Robert Gillespie.
Alabama does not yet have a running back committed in the class of 2024. The Tide have 13 total commits entering this weekend. The group sits at No. 10 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
