Former Vanderbilt guard Darius Garland is set to make his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers after suffering an eye injury in the season opener against Toronto.

He will be a major boon to a team that is already oozing talent with a 5-1 record to show for it. NBA insider Shams Charania reported the news Wednesday afternoon.

Garland’s stay in Nashville was not a long one. He played just 5 games before an injury sidelined him the rest of the season. From there, he went directly to the NBA Draft.

He’s become one of the leagues more promising young stars in Cleveland. Garland should be a fun watch for the remainder of the year.
