The Cavaliers are committed to keeping Darius Garland in Cleveland. The former Vanderbilt Commodore is reportedly signing the largest extension in franchise history.
Garland’s deal is for $193 million guaranteed over 5 years. It could be worth as much as $231 million.

Garland has been with the Cavs for all 3 seasons of his pro career. He has played in 181 games, making 177 starts. Garland is coming off of a 2021-22 season in which he started all 68 games, averaging 8.6 assists and 21.7 points on 46.2% shooting over 35.7 minutes per game.
Garland was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He was with Vanderbilt for the 2018-19 season, playing in 5 games before being sidelined by injury.
