Darius Robinson appeared to be off to the NFL Draft after Mizzou’s bowl game. As Lee Corso says, not so fast.
Robinson announced Sunday that he is returning to Mizzou for the 2023 season. Last month, the East-West Shrine Bowl, a game for seniors entering the NFL Draft, announced Robinson had accepted his invitation to participate.
Robinson shared the big news on his Twitter account.
Thank you God, for allowing me to be in this process. This has been one of the most difficult decisions of my life. I was blessed with the opportunity to start my NFL career now. However, I’m committed to growth and the process, and I will be returning for one more year! MR.6IX?? pic.twitter.com/YbPVbTSo15

Robinson will be using the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for a “super senior” fifth-year season. In 2022, Robinson played in all 13 games for the most productive season of his college career. Robinson logged 35 tackles, including 5.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks in 2022. He had 4 tackles in the Gasparilla Bowl against Wake Forest.
