Darren Rovell tried to buy Johnny Manziel autograph with explicit message for Rovell

Former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has never really been a fan of sports business and wagering analyst Darren Rovell. A relatively recent example of this came in August, when Rovell tweeted out side-by-side covers of Sports Illustrated highlighting the fall of the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner from big-ticket SEC signal-caller to professional football castaway. Manziel returned fire with a not-so-friendly response.
But according to For the Win, another example of this was spotted on eBay, where a football card autographed by Manziel—along with a rather NSFW message for Rovell—was put online with an initial offer of $10,000. FTW reports that Rovell himself sought to buy the card for his personal collection.
That is, until the card was snapped up for $1,200, just 12 percent of its asking price.
The only question now is this: If Rovell didn’t get to buy it, then who did? In any event, it will be interesting to see what the next chapter of the long-running beef between the two men has in store.
