New Big Noon Kickoff personality Dave Portnoy will already be missing a week of action when FOX’s pregame show visits Evanston for the Oregon-Northwestern matchup this weekend.

But in Portnoy’s stead will be another noted Barstool Sports employee, one who certainly has strong ties to the Chicago area, Barstool’s Dan Katz, affectionately known as Big Cat. And in place of the normal #AskDave segment, Big Cat announced that he would be running a #AskDaveButDanAnswersForHim portion of the show that should provide a similar level of entertainment.

This also comes after Portnoy was barred from being part of the broadcast production inside Ohio State’s stadium when the show visited Columbus for Texas vs. Ohio State.

Big Cat joins for a show that isn’t necessarily in town for a marquee matchup. Northwestern’s offense looked anemic in a 23-3 opening loss to Tulane, and despite the unit finding its footing against Western Illinois last week, it will be hard-pressed to manufacture anything against an Oregon squad that has taken a metal bat to its first two opponents.

The Ducks have out-scored Montana State and Oklahoma State by a combined 128-16, and that trend of dominance figures to continue by the lake on Saturday. Regardless, Big Cat will be in attendance to bet the Oregon over.
