Four-star wide receiver Davian Groce is believed to be in final negotiations with two SEC teams vying for his services for the 2026 recruiting class.

According to On3 and Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong, Groce’s father said there’s been a “little final negotiating” with Oklahoma and Florida in the hours before his announcement on Monday.

Groce would be an excellent pickup for either team and could be used in many ways for either offense. He’s the No. 47 overall player and the No. 4 athlete in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Florida Gators’ 2026 recruiting class has been impressive so far, with 18 commits, making it the 15th-best in the country. However, only one other receiver is committed, allowing Groce to come in and have an impact despite the class being crowded already.

Oklahoma’s 2026 recruiting class is smaller, with 15 commits, and ranks 41st in the country. The Sooners also have only one receiver in their class so Groce would have no issue coming in and offering much-needed help on this offense.

Groce offers some much-needed versatility for the Sooners or the Gators, depending on which team provides the better deal and is a better fit for him.

Groce is expected to announce his commitment on Monday evening.
