David Pollack names top 5 Heisman dudes, omits national contender

David Pollack has named his top-5 picks for the Heisman Trophy. But one glaring omission was former Auburn QB Bo Nix, who is wide believed to be in the top 2 among betting odds.

Pollack had LSU’s Jayden Daniels as his No. 1 pick for the Heisman following Daniels historic game against Florida on Saturday where he notched 372 passing yards, 234 rushing yards and 5 total touchdowns. Daniels has recorded 3,164 passing yards, 30 passing touchdowns along with 918 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns this season.

Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. came in at No. 2 on Pollack’s list. Penix has picked up 3,533 yards and 28 touchdowns, leading the Huskies to a perfect 10-0 record so far this season.

Pollack had Carson Beck at No. 3 on his list. The Georgia quarterback, who is in his first season as a starter, has recorded 3,022 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season, leading Georgia to an undefeated start.

Pollack’s only non-quarterback on the list was Marvin Harrison Jr., who was No. 4 on the list. Harrison has been electric for Ohio State this season, picking up 1,063 yards and 12 touchdowns on the year.

Florida State’s Jordan Travis was the final player on Pollack’s list. He’s recorded 2,734 yards and 20 touchdowns on the year.

With a handful of exciting games on deck in Week 12, the Heisman race will be heating up heading into the final stretch of the season.
