The Georgia Bulldogs are thrilled to have Wake Forest graduate transfer Jamie Newman as their quarterback entering 2020.

Newman will only have 1 year to play at Georgia, and he’ll try to make the most of his increased exposure on the national stage.

How far can he see his draft stock rise? On College GameDay on Saturday morning, analyst David Pollack suggested Newman could become a Round 1 pick:

“I’ll give you a quarterback I think will be a first-round pick this time next year that nobody’s talking about yet — Jamie Newman,” Pollack said.

Newman will need to have a big year for this to happen, but with the talent Georgia has around him, it is certainly possible.
