Dayne Shor, a 6-foot-6 and 295 pound 4-star offensive lineman, has announced his commitment to Alabama after he received a reported 35 offers.
Shor announced it with a YouTube video he shared on social media where he discussed his recruiting journey and family support.
Shor is from Alpharetta, Georgia (King’s Ridge Christian School) and is rated the No. 38 offensive tackle, and the No. 36 player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the 14th commitment for the Crimson Tide in the Class of 2022. Shor is the second offensive line commitment in Alabama’s 2022 class, joining 4-star tackle Tyler Booker who committed earlier this month.
Offensive line coach Doug Marrone was a big selling point to Shor’s decision.
“It’s a big thing for me,” Shor said earlier his year of Marrone’s NFL prowess, per Bama OnLine. “He knows what the NFL wants in offensive linemen. Him having the knowledge that he has with the O-line, I don’t know how much better it can get. It’s definitely a big bonus for sure.”
With this commitment, Alabama is rated No. 3 in the country, and No. 1 in the SEC in recruiting rankings.
“The coaches, people, program, academics, traditions,” Shor told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong earlier this year. “The vibe is real and it’s incredible.”
