Dayton Wade was thrilled when he found out his Ole Miss Rebels would be playing in the Peach Bowl. The Peach Bowl is played in Atlanta, which is also Wade’s hometown.

The receiver recently spoke about being able to be home for Christmas.

“As soon as we got here and got some free time, I went home,” Wade explained. “It was Christmas Day…I have younger siblings at home. My little sister got a dog. I’m looking forward to playing at home.”

Wade also spoke on what Ole Miss and Oxford mean to him. The receiver has been a key piece of the Rebels’ offense for 2 seasons now.

“Now that I’m at the end of this Ole Miss road, I’m just glad the Oxford community welcomed me the way I did,” Wade stated. “They’re the reason I’m here. I see all the encouragement and what-not on Twitter. The Ole Miss community is great and I’m thankful to be in this position.”

The Rebels will kick off against the Penn State Nittany Lions in Atlanta on Saturday at noon ET.
