Deebo Samuel is one of the NFL’s most exciting wide receivers, and he’s delivering in primetime.

Samuel’s San Francisco 49ers are in Seattle to take on the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. At the beginning of the 2nd quarter, Samuel made NFL history with a 76-yard score.

With that touchdown, Samuel became the 1st WR in NFL history to have 20+ receiving TDs and 20+ rushing TDs in a career.

That’s an impressive feat for the former South Carolina Gamecock.

Samuel entered the league after being selected with the 36th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Samuel immediately impressed by catching 57 passes for 802 yards and 3 TDs. The versatile Samuel also rushed for 159 yards and 3 TDs.

Since then, Samuel has been a Pro Bowl selection and a First-team All-Pro selection.

Before starring in the NFL, Samuel was a key playmaker for the Gamecocks. From 2015-18, Samuel racked up 148 catches for 2,076 yards and 16 TDs and flashed his dual-threat ability with 154 yards rushing and 7 TDs in his college career. Samuel also flashed on special teams in college, returning 4 kickoffs for TDs while at South Carolina.

In 2024, Samuel has gotten off to another fast start. The WR had 17 catches for 233 yards heading into the TNF matchup with the Seahawks.
