Deebo Samuel makes San Francisco 49ers history with impressive rushing touchdown

Deebo Samuel continues to impress for the San Francisco 49ers, and his latest big play made San Francisco 49ers postseason history.
Samuel became the first 49er with a rushing touchdown by a wide receiver in franchise postseason history as San Francisco pulled away from the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday during Super Wild Card Weekend. Samuel showed great vision on a 26-yard run with 5:50 remaining in the third quarter where he weaved back toward the middle of the field as his blockers sealed an edge near the sideline. It gave the 49ers a 23-7 lead late in the third quarter.
Samuel by that point had 6 carries for 48 yards, and 2 catches for 34 yards.

Samuel is in the middle of an All-Pro season as he recently received the prestigious honor. Samuel finished the year with 1,770 yards from scrimmage and 14 total touchdowns (6 receiving and 8 rushing) on the year. His 14 total touchdowns are the most by a member of the 49ers since Terrell Owens had 14 touchdowns in 2002 (13 receiving and one rushing), the 49ers noted.
The third-year wideout becomes the first 49ers receiver to be voted onto the list since Owens in 2001. Samuel earned the third-most votes (21) in the receiver category behind Green Bay Packers Davante Adams (50) and Los Angeles Rams Cooper Kupp (50).
