Deebo Samuel is a key part of the San Francisco 49ers’ offense as the Niners look like one of the best teams in the NFL this year.
But recently, Samuel missed time in a game in which star RB Christian McCaffrey was also injured. Now, it’s looking like Samuel won’t be back for a while.
Per NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, the 49ers announced on Saturday that Samuel has a hairline fracture in his shoulder and will miss 2 games, at least:

That’s bad news for a team that just lost to the Cleveland Browns last weekend after Samuel and McCaffrey got injured. The Niners are an elite squad when McCaffrey, Samuel, QB Brock Purdy, TE George Kittle and WR Brandon Aiyuk are healthy, but there’s not a ton of depth behind the starting unit.
Can Samuel come back after 2 games? Or will he miss even more time with this injury? We’ll see how the former South Carolina star’s shoulder heals over the next few weeks.
