Deebo Samuel says he’s not satisfied just to get to the Super Bowl

Deebo Samuel has become an NFL star since he left South Carolina, but the versatile playmaker still has plenty of confidence as his San Francisco 49ers meet the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas.
“I don’t really just want to reach it, I wanna win it,” Samuel said. “That’s the goal, and that’s what we set out to do at the beginning of the year.”
Samuel was cleared to play on Sunday after he left last week’s game with a shoulder injury, and was limited or didn’t practice through the week. But in the game, Samuel had 3 carries for 7 yards, and 8 catches for 89 yards, including a long of 26 yards on 9 targets.
On the field after the game, Samuel recalled how his team fell short last year, and had a deficit at halftime.
“It just feels so real right now,” he said. “We were down 17 at half, it was just time for us to buckle up and play Niner football.”

After the game, Samuel enjoyed trolling CJ Gardner-Johnson for waving to 49er fans prematurely.
