A representative from every NFL team was on hand as LSU held its Pro Timing Day at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility.
LSU’s Pro Day annually draws 100 NFL personnel, including head coaches, general managers and scouts.
The Tigers participating this year include linebackers Deion Jones and Lamar Louis, offensive linemen Vadal Alexander and Jerald Hawkins, punter Jamie Keehn, long snapper Reid Ferguson, defensive tackle Quentin Thomas and defensive backs Jalen Mills and Tommy LeBeau.
Here are some of the notable performances. We’ll continue to update as results are made official.
LB DEION JONES
Jones got a lot of attention for his effort in the 40-yard dash. His times of 4.38 and 4.40 (although hand-timed) blew away his 4.59 at the combine, which was 4th-best among linebackers there. His Pro Day times would’ve easily been the best at the position in Indianapolis.
Here’s a look at his second run, which LSU officially clocked at 4.40.
Meanwhile, Jones improved on his vertical jump by two-and-a-half inches, posting a 35.5-inch vertical jump on Monday.

Jones also impressed those on hand with his lateral movement, running the three-cone drill in 7.16 seconds.

Jones had 16 reps of 225 pounds on bench after not participating in the event at the combine.
S JALEN MILLS
Like Jones, Mills also saw a significant improvement in his 40 time. Mills, who ran a 4.61 at the combine, clocked official times of 4.48 and 4.51.

Of course, most 40-yard dash times improve at a school’s Pro Day. That’s why some elect to only do it then. However, maybe Mills can partly credit that to some sweet Nike gear.

OL VADAL ALEXANDER
Alexander decided not to attempt to improve his 40 time from the combine, where the only lineman slower was North Carolina’s Landon Turner (5.58).
Apparently LSU OL Vadal Alexander is not running the 40 at #LSUProDay. Ran a 5.57, 2nd slowest among OLs at NFL Combine. #lsuproday

LB LAMAR LOUIS
Former LSU LB Lamar Louis threw up 26 reps of 225 pounds. That total would’ve been 3rd-best among LBs at the combine.

Louis did well in the other drills, clocking a 4.53 and a 4.60 in the 40, a 33.5-inch vertical jump, a 114-inch broad jump and a 7.23 in the three-cone drill.
It’s also worth nothing that The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger reported that former LSU defensive back Rashard Robinson did a private workout and didn’t actually participate in the Pro Day.
