Deion Sanders has changed plenty in Colorado already this season, and one thing is that a superfan like Peggy Coppom, 98, is back in the fold in good spirits.

Coppom was spotlighted during a segment on ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Saturday and shared how Coach Prime has turned around the spirits of the fan base. Coppom is a regular attender at a local Catholic church, and said she tells the blessed mother to get interested in this game.

Coppom met Sanders in January, and made sure she was regularly involved with the program.

“It’s unbelievable what it’s been like, I never would have dreamed one man could cause this much excitement and interest,” she said.

Coppom was on the field to a kick a ball during the spring game, and later received a game ball from Sanders in the locker room.

“I feel really grateful to have Deion Sanders here. I’m tired of being a good loser,” Coppom said. “We’ve been a good loser for many years, and it is really fun to be a good winner. I’m grateful at my age that I can still be here.”
