Deion Sanders rips rumors of big NIL deal for Travis Hunter: ‘We kicked your butt’
Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders shocked the college football when he plucked the No. 1 player in the country, Travis Hunter, from Florida State and talked him into joining him at JSU.
But with that being said, there were a lot of rumors that the reason why Hunter joined Sanders was that he was going to sign some big NIL deal. According to Sanders, that’s far from the truth.
Deion Sanders on rumors of a big NIL deal for Travis Hunter: “We ain’t got no money! A million and a half!? That’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard. You know what that is? That means we kicked your butt. We took what was ours and now you gotta make up an excuse.” https://t.co/kyXogQcbH2

“We ain’t got no money! A million and a half!? That’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard,” Sanders said. “You know what that is? That means we kicked your butt. We took what was ours and now you gotta make up an excuse.”
Seminole fans were in such a tizzy Wednesday over losing Hunter that some wanted to fire current FSU head coach Mike Norvell.
Sanders’ Tiger team went 11-1 this season, won the SWAC, and will be heading to the Celebration Bowl. Meanwhile, Florida State finished the year with a 5-7 record.
