Alabama tight end O.J. Howard did it again.
When the Crimson Tide needed a big play, Howard delivered late in the third quarter.
QB Jalen Hurts faked the bubble screen to WR Calvin Ridley — a play the Tide has run all night — and hit Howard for a wide open touchdown. The Tigers defense completely fell for it.
The score put Alabama up 24-14 late in the third quarter.
During last year’s College Football Playoff final, Howard caught five passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns against Clemson.
With that catch, O.J. Howard matched his season-high for receiving yards (77) in the 3rd quarter.
