Déjà vu? Tua Tagovailoa’s TD pass against Georgia looked a lot like AJ McCarron’s in 2012

Tua Tagovailoa’s game-winning 41-yard TD pass to WR DeVonta Smith will live on forever.
But rewinding five years, Tagovailoa’s pass looked quite similar to AJ McCarron’s 45-yard TD pass to Amari Cooper to help lift Alabama over Georgia in the 2012 SEC Championship Game.
Yes, the venue is remarkably upgraded, but it’s virtually the same throw to the same side of the field that put the dagger in Georgia. The Tide beat the Bulldogs 32-28 and went on to dismantle Manti Te’o and Notre Dame 42-14 in the 2013 BCS National Championship.
Have a look at the back-to-back plays in this video shared by Twitter user JaiHawkFly:
Look at these throws from Tua Tagovailoa to Devonta Smith and AJ McCarron to Amari Cooper. Both were the game winning touchdowns against UGA in Atlanta. It’s crazy how both of these throws line up. #RollTide pic.twitter.com/l2L0nX9LIB
