Tyrique Stevenson is heading back home.

Less than a week after entering the NCAA transfer portal, the departing Georgia defensive back announced he will be continuing his career at Miami. He shared the news Saturday on his Twitter account.

A native of Homestead, Florida, Stevenson rated 5-stars, the No. 3 cornerback and No. 37 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2019 on the 247Sports Composite. The Hurricanes were among the 29 scholarship offers he received during his initial recruitment coming out of Miami Southridge.

In two seasons at UGA, Stevenson played in 24 games, recording 47 tackles and 10 passes defended. This past season, the sophomore finished fifth on the Bulldogs with 34 tackles, including one for loss.
