Derek Stingley Jr returned to practice Wednesday after being on the injured reserve since September, per the Houston Texans’ official site.

This doesn’t mean that Stingley will be playing in the Week 10 contest with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Houston now has 21 days to decide whether or not it wants to add Stingley back to the 53-man roster or put him back on the IR for the rest of the year.

Stingley was taken in the 1st round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of LSU.

He played in 9 games last season with the same number of starts. Stingley accounted for 43 total tackles, 1 interception, 1 sack, and 5 passes defended as a rookie.

This season he has played in 2 games with 9 total tackles.

The Texans play the Bengals in Week 10 after a thrilling win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tank Dell scored the game-winning touchdown with 6 seconds left.

Week 10’s matchup kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
